Hmm... what about this: http://www.urcsupport.com/images/uploaded_images/Atlas_1056BC.swf
double button on left side of circle labeled DAY.

If this doesn't work, then there is supposedly some way to key in codes that are not on the remote. This is either in the users manual or in some Wiki on the remote somewhere. DAY works on my DVR (3416). Hopefully these codes are still recognized by the 3400.

3. You can change the recording to stop at a later time when setting the recording, but I don't recall an early start time. I also don't think there is a global time extension for all recordings.

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/How_to_use_a_Motorola_DVR/Programming_the_Remote says "Key remapping is not available on Universal Electronics' 1056B03 remote." I don't remember those day buttons. I am not there to check again right now.

I need to take a picture of it for you guys. I can't find a clear big photo online.

.

I have that remote (in the link you listed) and the DAY works with my 3400.

But, you can't remap keys or add the skip fw hack to this new remote. You have to get the older 1056B01 remote to remap keys or add the skip forward hack>> http://www.emtcompany.com/time-warner-1056b01-remote-control/1000975.html
That remote will work with the 3400.

There are no day+ and day- buttons I can find to skip days in its TV Guide. I even tried pressing buttons that sort of match like in the pictures, but nope!

I have the 1056B03 remote now and it has the 'DAY' rocker button on the upper left side (as in the link pic phildaant posted) and it works (pages through the days) on my 3400.
But again, you won't be able to remap with this remote, nor add the skip forward hack, you need to buy the B01 remote in the link I listed to do that.

OK, I see them now. I will mess with them later.

Seriously?!?!? How lame. I can't even fast forward? What else does this dumb RC can't do?

Does TWC have another RC to replace with that can, or do I really have to get my own for my new six days old Motorola DVR DCX3400 with its old iGuide?

you can fast foward you just can't program the 30 second skip trick. pressing the right arrow next to the ok/select button will fast forward or you can use the fast forward button on the remote to do you what you want smile.gif

Oh, so it will be like a VCR then.

No 30 second skip forward, but you can fast forward as mentioned and you can skip 5 min forward.
You have to get the B01 remote to program the 30 skip forward, there is no other way. TWC probably has a bunch of old ones laying around, but getting one from the office could be an ordeal ('cos they probably don't know what to look for).

The for sure way is to buy one yourself for $15, that's the cheapest solution unfortunately (unless you get lucky at a TWC office, etc.)

STB UPDATE ALERT - TWC SOUTH BAY

I just got a PARTIAL message from the TWC bot that my STB is being updated and will be out of service for up to 40 minutes.

Ordinarily this wouldn't worry me, but
a) it is the first message I've ever received,
b) I'm a non-DVR (4250HDC) subscriber that TWC has no respect for, but most importantly
c) THE UPDATE DATE AND TIME AT THE MSG BEGINNING WERE CUT OFF!

Anyone else get this message?
If I find out more I'll post ......
TIA, Mike

Just setup my Centronics ZAT502 w/ QAM, I'm in the Miracle Mile area (Mid-Wilshire). The virtual channels are really odd, as in 66.22 for KLOS, 66.25 for PBS, and NBC HD is 67.541!

I figured that TWC moves those around and they might not be identical to the analog and OTA channels, but seriously, 67.541 instead of 4.1?

Is there a table somewhere that lists them? Because I have no plans to memorize those numbers, not to mention my poor gf...

I've seen some folks try to maintain one, but it is a never ending chase. TWC apparently doesn't care about Broadcast Basic customers with direct connected digital televisions, only about STB using customers. mad.gif

Same thing happens in Comcraptic territory where my mom lives and I made a channel list for her. Every Single Visit requires an update. BTW TV rescanning 'fixed' most of the issues last time - the LG HDTV 'virtual' channel number stayed the same but the (unknown) RF QAM channel apparently changed. On this TV the virtual channel numbers now mostly match the OTA channel numbers. Other Comcast note - her Motorola STB has been stable, the DTAs not so much.

On another TWC note, my non-DVR STB (4250HDC) got updated early this AM to ODN version 5.2.0_9 - the famous 'black guide'. So far all is better. It is now possible to exclude non-Favorite channels from the program guide (similar to previous grouping feature).

Just received a notice today that C-SPAN, KWHY, KBEH, WGN America, Golf Channel, and CNBC will be digital only. That means 1 free standard-definition box until November 2013. After that, the freebie box will be 99 cents a month.

I hope this reclaimed bandwidth will be used for more HD channels!

BTW, to tell TWC what HD channels you want that they don't currently carry in L.A., go to https://www.timewarnercable.com/SoCal/about/contactus.ashx; expand "Email Us" (the last one down), and in the drop-down menu (under "What is your question about?") select "Channel Suggestions"; then list what channel(s) you'd like to see in HD. The more requests they get for HD channels, the more likely it is that they'll add them to the lineup, assuming both that bandwidth permits and that TWC can come to an agreement with the programmer(s) to add the channel(s) you request.

I think you mean KLCS. KLOS is a classic rock station on 95.5 FM.

Try posting in http://www.dslreports.com/forum/cable,rr (might need to share your cable modem status from its http://192.168.100.1/ ) and checking http://help.rr.com/AA/rrwho.aspx?resetDiv=true&ReturnUrl=%2fHMSLogic%2fnetwork_status.aspx ...

Also, note that they have private direct support to TWC through DSL/Broand Reports' forums too.

TW's website is now has the Pac12 Network channel numbers.

245 Pac12 LA - SD, Basic Cable
246 Pac12 NAT - SD, Sports Tier
369 PAC12 NAT - HD, Sports Tier
370 PAC12 LA - HD, Basic Cable

So it looks like Pac12 LA will be available to everybody who has digital cable.

Also it seems that TWC launched KWHY HD in Socal as well on channel 390.

The former Comcast areas have all of those channels so they just gained 3 HD channels so they have some room to add more HD. Anyone in a former comcast area want to do a QAM scan and see where they put KWHY HD? curious to see where they put it on those systems biggrin.gif

Obviously not all USC games will be shown there since the Pac12 still recently signed big contracts with ESPN/ABC and Fox. Maybe not even most, but we shall see. Here are the Pac12 Network schedules:

Sites sometimes do not work temporarily. That happens on the Internet. Anyway, the Pac12 Network's website is:

http://pac-12.com/

You can get additional info there. You can also watch a stream of the channel there provided you authenticate first. I don't know about you guys, but those live double headers of non-revenue sports is sure getting me excited.rolleyes.gif

Anyone notice the sound on PAC 12 LA HD (channel 370) coming and going throughout today (the picture is unaffected)? Weirdly enough, the sound on the SD version on channel 245 is normal. I have the City of Los Angeles lineup, and I'm on the Santa Monica headend. Is this affecting other areas? As of this posting, it's still doing that where I live.

Hi all!

OK, I have a dilemma on my new Motorola DCX3400 DVR with TWC starting in October 2012 and was wondering if there is a way to fix this for cheap or work around it. I have many TV shows on Sunday nights starting in October 2012 at 9:00 PM PDT for an hour (really wished MythBusters went back to its Wednesdays):

9/30 9:00 PM - 9:30 PM = Family Guy on FOX
9/30 9:30 PM - 10:00 PM = American Dad on FOX
10/7 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM = MythBusters on Discovery
10/14 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM = The Walking Dead on AMC

I have three stations with four shows I need to record and watch. According to my DVR, it has two HD tuners so it can record/show two at once. Do I need another DVR for the third one? Does TWC even have a DVR that has more than two tuners? I don't really want to wait eight long days and pay, to watch right away, on FOX.com and Hulu.com (Plus) for FOX's shows.

Thank you in advance. smile.gif
