That's not what I said. My point was a number of members were making comments about the service without really knowing it's capabilities. Reading the many comments about the Sears installs, it's obvious few, if any, are working properly.
Once again I'll say it; this may or may not represent how the system works in a real world environment. If I wanted VOOM, the existing feedback would not be enough to stop me from giving it a try. After a few members start using the system and writing reviews, that will be a different story.
With a 30 day money back guarantee, what difference does it make?
As a businessman, but with no special interests in TV in general, I can
tell you that EVERY business deserves a chance to make good on their
commitments. If they take a month to get it straighted out, then that
is not a reason to bash them. They have waved the monthly charge,
they are offering money back. And as a starting service, you have
the right to decide if you really want to be a beta tester, or sit back
and wait (I am among the waiters).
One of the things that running my own business showed me is that
people will run around spreading misinformation about your business
just because they think they are being clever.
No business should be bashed unless they do something wrong by you,
and only after you have given them a FAIR chance to work it out. Too
many people start yelling about bad treatment even before calling the
company to work it out, simply because they think hitting companies
first is how you get results.
Companies are PEOPLE. People with jobs. They deserve either your
respect or at least to be left alone.
What say we see what happens with Voom over the next month or so.
I WANT them to succeed.
