Guys I'm down in Clinton (on the shoreline) and have had enough of paying $75/mo. for Comcast's crap service. I think I've finally desided to cut the cable and just live with OTA. I have older sets and basically know next to nothing about what I'm going to need to do the switch over.
Doing a tiny bit reading on antennas and looking at the TV Fool report for my house (http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...de6531f1a1086f
), I think I'm going to order one of the following RCA antennas... ANT751R, ANT3036X, or ANT3038XR (not sure what the difference is between the last two). I just want to make sure I can get WFSB (NBC), so any recommendations would be great.
Also, what else will I need? I understand I'll need some type of STB for converting the digital signal, correct? If so, what should I be looking for? Comcast just sent me some digital converter boxes for their change over, but I assume these are not the boxes I need for the OTA digital conversion, correct?
Anything else that I'll need to pick up other then the antenna, mount, wire, and some type of STB?
I'm really looking forward to telling Comcast to stick it!
