[b]just want to say i have the Zenith C32V37 and this Television is amazing and by far the best of the bunch in the $1000 dollar Best Buy (899.99)
price range. The Tv is a 32 inch television equipped with a Faroudja Chip.
|I have 2 HD STBs that both stretch or zoom a 16x9 picture to fill a 4x3 screen on any TV, whether HD-ready or NTSC. This feature has been around for a long time in my RCA DTC-100 and more recently in my Hughes E-86.|

The C32V37 (with the built-in terrestrial and QAM tuner) has the following scaling functions -- "Set by Program", "4:3", "16:9", and "Zoom". Please note that as someone has already pointed out, the C32V36 is different.
My DVD player actually has the Faroudja DCDi deinterlacer, and I don't see a lot of difference between progressive mode (480p from the DVD player) and non-progressive (480i) mode. If you're extremely picky, you can notice slight differences, but the 480i picture is more than acceptable. I think this is one reason why analog reception looks so good when compared to some other HDTVs -- and some HD cable boxes I won't mention.

I have a C27V22 with a Yamaha integrated receiver / progressive scan DVD player connected to it via the component inputs. The DVD audio is not routed through the TV in my set-up and there is no delay of the video compared to the audio.
