Speaking of semantics...

One minute he requests them not to be copied... or reused I guess

But you said...

Like there is a difference between asking for someone to do something out of sorts....or doing so yourself? Tiddler effectively did both. It all lumps into just one lousy thing to do to this DIY Community. We'll get over and around that.

Yep we probably could.

I am willing to leave the Beginner's Guide intact for the time being, but I must ask that you do whatever is necessary to remove the user name "tiddler" as the originating author and from all other posts. A suitable replacement name would be "guest' or "ghost".

Please close the accounts for "tiddler" and "Tiddler@Home".

Changing names is not practical, and in any event the Beginners Guide was not left intact. Nearly all posts but the first were deleted, and the links were rendered useless. And of course, all pictures were linked to a personal Photobucket account, leaving their long-term usefulness in question.

Many other posts were also deleted. In post #1 of threads where he was the OP and deletion was impossible, he replaced the content with a smiley - or a link.

A new Beginner's Guide is in progress - if anyone is interested in contributing, please let me know. Efforts there would be much more useful than arguing about the past.

Thank you,
Garry

Well, that explains alot. Not to mention the heat he takes for his actions.

Back in the saddle. More AVS time again for me now.

Awhile back I chatted with MM on the very subject. He wanted to pony up to the task, but, has subsequently 'vanished' from the forum. Tiddler had a good sticky going but that has 'vanished' also.

What to do, what to do...?

Now that tiddler has returned and he had that great sticky...well...tiddler what do you say? Can you put it together?

So, Garry, what became of the guide?

Nevermind. Tiddler Inc. looks to have that well underway. Got some reading to do.

Scoob, I know you are out there somewhere (from this post).

Have you thrown in the towel on the 'big screen?

This thread bumped to you by an AVS history buff. Enjoy.

There is horrendous color shift in your image. This is not a very good solution.

Why don't you be specific and point to the example your referring to? For someone with only 12 posts in 3 years, and nothing currant in your Post count, your opinion seems a little too abrupt.

In actuallity, if you have a valid point to illustrate, do so...for everyone might want to hear/see it.

Hopefully your not referring to Misty Evening & Silver (Thread Title) That's a long abandoned solution.
Clarify and set the record straight.

Relax 'old guard'. It's apparent the poster never spent much time with this thread. Those in the 'know' ' know.
