Sirius footprint (how far north)

Thread Starter
We folks in Alaska have been excluded from XM and Sirius Satellite Radio.
I will be traveling throughout northern USA, Canada and Alaska during the next few months. I know XM's footprint goes up to southcentral Alaska as a friend had it in his car and it worked fine as long as he had a view at the XM satellite at 115 degrees.
Does anyone know what Sirius's footprint is and if it covers Canada and southern Alaska ??? I'd prefer to have Sirius installed for the trip but I'd like to use it in Alaska and Canada on my way to the lower 48. I would appreciate anyones thoughts and ideas. Thanks, Joe Ray

I have messaged with a Sirius subscriber in Alaska. He says there are no problems receiving the signal. Go to:

angelfire.com/rock3/sirius_rich0/sirius-xmorbitanim.gif

to see orbital path of the three Sirius birds and XM's two geostationary birds.

I've used Sirius in mid B.C and Alberta, no problems.
