Like the other poster said. The HD TIVO only works with Directv.

It is all tied up in the sat transmission format that the receiver understands.

DISH is a combo of 4psk and 8psk (If I recall correctly) but being new to Directv, I have not had a chance to check what it's tarnsmission format is but I KNOW it is incompatible with DISH's.

The DISH 811 and 921 do DVI and the Directv HD TIVO do DVI.

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to get a DVI connection from an OTA HD tuner, look into the MYHD card.
