panasonic comparison:DMR-E20 vs. DMR-E30

Hi!
I am new to this forum. I am trying to determine the differences (aside from progressive scan) between the Panasonic DMR-E20 and DMR-E30 models, since I have an opportunity to purchase either one. I realize that both are discontinued. I would like some feedback from owners of these particular models in terms of quality of recordings, reliability, ease of use, etc. I know that, as a general rule, quality gets worse from year to year, although features improve. I need a basic unit. No need for a built in hard drive or exotic connections. Biggest concerns are resolution, ergonomics, remote control, and build quality. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! THANK YOU!!!! :)

DMR-E20 has no progressive scan output, whereas the DMR-E30 does. The E20 has an audio level meter (but no way to set audio levels), which was dropped from the E30. The "FR" modes (setting a recording bit rate other than the standard 1 hr/2 hr/4 hr/6 hr) are easier to use in the E30 than the E20.

Those are the differences that I am aware of. I briefly had an E20 before swapping it back in favor of the E30 -- for me, the progressive scan output made it worth owning.
