Wouldn't DNNA disable the mod to avoid the law suit?
Also, DNNA's servers enable IVS, so DNNA could be as liable as Napster was.
Talking completely out my rear end - I think it's only a matter of time before IVS is turned off on the server. With 50XX's no longer being sold it's just a matter of time (probobly the length of the last 50XX sold's warranty period) before the units are no longer supported by DNNA - in which case they would have no reason to have IVS turned on any longer because none of the "currently supported" units would be capable of using it.
CA on the other hand is a feature still used in the current models as show/nav. The old "obsolete" models (50XX) have automatic show/nav which they could do away with (the automatic part) but I doubt they will get rid of show/nav completely. At least not as long as they continue to support the 55XXs.
There is a reason DNNA is calling back the remaining stock (scarce as it is) of 50XXs. Perhaps it's to make way for a new 60XX model. Or perhaps it's the beginning of the end (see chicken little). Either way it wasn't for arbitrary reasons - it means something.
