This is what the rest of us are up against. Unbelievable! HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I kind of feel sorry for anyone who does not at least see the value of OAR, even if they'd rather have a 16:9 image fill their WS. As it happens, I've seen Zorro in all 3 formats too and there is no way I was satisfied with anything other than the OAR version. I believe in the visual experience that panorama brings to movies, even shots where all the action is taking place in the middle of the screen. I'd much rather see 2 people in a room vs just 2 people (unless maybe they are doing to big nasty :) ). Anyway, I suspect there are a whole lot of folks who agree with me as that's why we go to movie theaters and buy WS HDTVs. I understand the dilemma the programmers believe they are in trying to satisfy everyone, but I also believe that if they'd simply do OAR all the time on their HD channels, no one would quit watching and they'd actually get far fewer complains, expecially as HD stretch modes are added to TVs and boxes.
