Forget about the PM.
Sometimes graphs can be a tad tricky. It's particularly difficult without seeing the data file; however, I'm got a couple of suggestions:
1) First, plot the values in columns next to each other
2) Select "scatter" plot. [My guess is that you selected a line graph. You can get log on Y axis with a line graphl, but I don't think you can on the X axis]
3) Once you plot the graph in base 10, double click on the X axis. One of the tabs should say scale. Select that tab and towards the bottom there should be a box you can check that says log in the description.
