Panasonic PT-B1010U

Thread Starter
Anyone have any specs or info on the Panasonic PT-B1010U or a Barco 808. Which is a better unit. My company deinstalled 2 Panasoncis and 1 Barco, I am going to try and get one of the units since we have no use for them. I have seen a little on the Barco but nothing of the Panasonics.

Thanks,
Mike

BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, BARCO, ...

Does that answer your question http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif???

The Panasonic is only capable of accepting a line doubler such as the DVDO or standard VGA from a PC, but the Barco 808 can accept a quadrupler such as the Quadscan, Crystal Image, Vigatec, TAW ROCK, Faroudja's, etc. It only has 15.75 and 31.5 MHz horizontal scanning capabilities and the Barco can do 15-69MHz for the data grade and 15-105MHz for the graphics model, plus the Barco should be a lot newer.

The ONLY reason to go with the Panasonic would be if the Barco is in bad shape with phospher burns and high hours and the Panasonic is in great condition.

If at all possible...get the Barco 808!!!

Go here and type in the info for each projector to get the specs of each: http://www.inlineinc.com/cgi-local/projref.cgi
