Just to recap (my previous post went a little long):
The problem is definitely on their end with your account settings, so you should keep calling until you get someone who is knowledgeable enough to fix it.
The channels are back working. After a debate with another CSR about whether or not I should wait for a service call or have them try reprogramming or fixing it from their end, he said he could do a hot reset. I was told to shut off the power for the DVR and TV then wait twenty minutes, no unplugging or holding buttons. I would have bet a million this was going to be useless...lol. Twenty minutes later my channels were back.
I'm betting that hot reset = fixed my account, finally.
Have you noticed that the HD HDR tends to switch itself into stand by after a period of time? Two boxes did this, maybe I need to change a setting or it does this due to updates. Too bad nobody at Adelphia has any idea about specific product features, you would think it would be required training.
I'm glad this board is around, it does help to have some knowledge of specific problems in advance before calling. I mentioned that someone locally, through a message board, described the same issue and it was account related. He sounded almost offended and said he knows of no such board...lol. I told him they should check it out, most of the time members out there know about things faster than the CSR's at Adelphia.
