We're all really happy for you. Enjoy the HD.
People always assume that it takes new, expensive equipment to get HD, but antenna technology from 1960 should be adequate for most people in metropolitan areas. Radio Shack would love for you to buy a $79.99 amplified antenna when an old $2.99 one would work. They've even discontinued their best directional antenna (which used to run about $5) in the hopes you'll buy a more expensive one.
the truth is i do have plans to get either the Terk or the Zenith, but since this is working better than i expected/hoped for, I may just nix the indoor antenna plan!
Why go indoor when i have a perfectly magnificent antenna on my roof.. I just gotta extend that cable from my bedroom to the living room and it should beat any newer indoor antenna :D
besides i got a cablevision hdtv topbox coming so ota won't be such a problem anymore.. i think i can still get the same signals from the cablebox, i hope :) i'll see.. still a week to go
