Best Subwoofer for $350-400 price range...

GUys,

RIght not I have a Cambridge Soundworks BassCube 8s hooked up with a monster subwoofer cable. I am looking to upgrade my subwoofer for more profound base.

Any recommendations? Price $350-400, or do I need to spend more to get the best low level sounds?

Best,

Paul Hartman

I believe the HSU STF-2 is in that price range, though not positive on the price, I'd have to go look at the website to find out.

But there should be some HSU Subs that should work perfectly for what you are after!

Check out the 10" Titanic powered sub designed by Vance Dickason at Parts Express. Under $400 & supposed to work very well:

Have some tools and basic wood working skills? If so you can build a sub for $400 that will dust any commercially available fully assembled sub at the same price point.

I replaced a CSW 8s with an HSU STF-2. The difference is amazing. I still have CSW for all my other speakers, and I love them.

The 8s is nice for what it is, but keep in mind what it is - an inexpensive 8" sub with a small amp. I love CSW speakers, but I think that looking toward a company that specializes in subs is a better idea.

I think you would be very happy with an HSU.

Karl
