BKNY reporting in kansas-gt game in HD (I think we get the following game in HD as well).. but even more impressive than the HD is the dolby digital 5.1 surround mix they have..

the cbs sound mixers/engineers have earned so much respect from me.. also these game are a great way to test your audio setup.. not sure if it will happen again but during the opening minutes they had the fronts and the surround broadcasting the arena-voiceover announcements at the same time the center had the broadcast announcers talking about the free throw..

it was highly impressive as my system had the encompassing arena-voiceover clear without overpowering and muddling the center channel.. itwas very impressive :)

..i think this commercial's almost over so i'm done reporting :P just wanted to say kudos to the HD and even more impressive 5.1 full surround mix!

i think they changed cameraguys.. i swear tere was one segment early in the game where the cameraguy musta touched something because everything became out of focus.. it made me laugh :p

but yeah pq isn't up there as before, but it's not terrible either, it's "acceptable" for an hd broadcast (I'm becoming a connosseur)

but I'm more impressed with the dolby mix.. hmm, I wonder if I should tune into the OTA one to see how the pq is over there. (too bad my receiver only has 1 optical audio input and it's already used by my dvd player) :(

No HD in Fort Smith/Fayetteville Arkansas.

This is the 2nd Sunday in a row they've forgotten about the HD NCAA games!

I can't get through to anybody.

I'm in agreement with some others, this just doesn't look as good OTA and from DirecTV. More motion artifacts and at times the picture has looked soft and a little out of focus. Overall it's good, but the earlier games looked better. Ironic considering this will probably be the best game of a poor HD lot so far.
why is CBS the only HD channel where I ever get motion artifacts for sports? the other CBS games had artifacts, but they were minimal, this game has had pixelation on nearly every player on every fast play. this is so far the worst HD sports presentation i have seen yet.

a lot of people believe that 1080i is more susceptible to fast motion artificats than 720p, although you rarely read anyone complaining about it with HDNet or INHD, so who really knows.
is it the 1080i issue? i never see artifacts or pixelation on espnhd (720p) and i rarely see it on inhd (1080i), but i do see it on inhd at times....this is unacceptable today though. i wouldn't demonstrate HD to friends with today's game, the pixelation is more annoying than SD.

Thank goodness I have the D* backup for HD. How could they forget 2 weeks in a row?

As the home of the Yellow Jackets, they better have the game up in all of it's HD glory. This is my first weekend of HD sports, and I was a little disappointed by the pixelation. I thought it was a problem with my new Comcast box, but it looks like a lot of others are experiencing the same thing. Still a helluva lot better than the SD broadcast. Hopefully, they'll have everything ironed out in San Antonio.

TSANs, the pixelation is not normal for HD sports at all......like I said, I see it on CBS occasionally, but today is horrendous. the 2nd half has been better, but still not perfect. ESPNHD pixelation is non existant. INHD is occasional, but rare.

seems to be holding steady in hd now...
I didn't really notice any on Friday night during either the NCAA game or the Lakers game on ESPNHD. Nevertheless, I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing the problem.

CBS is staying with the Blue Bars for the SD second game with Duke and Xavier. Not sure I'm going to like that for the whole game.
