Yeah, I know. Let me try to be more clear.
I have the first tuner set to record back-to-back shows that are on the same channel, and they record OK (7-8PM CBS show and 8-9PM CBS show).
However, if I want to record two other shows that have a one minute overlap (7:00PM-8:01PM FOX show & 8:00PM-9:00PM ABC show, for example), then NEITHER of these FOX and ABC shows record. The channel guide shows red "X's" on both of the two shows that overlap by one minute.
Again, the first tuner records the non-conflicting, back-to-back shows OK. Neither of the other two shows record. Seems like at least ONE of the two other shows should record, preferrably the one with the highest priority. Even better, record the higher priority show in its entirety, and then record the lower priority show in the time that is left.
Here is the exact example, from last night, if I remember correctly.
7-8PM NCIS on CBS
8-9PM The Mentalist on CBS
7-8:01PM American Idol on FOX
8:00 - 10PM Dancing with the stars on ABC
NCIS and The Mentalist record OK
Neither American Idol or Dancing records at all (both show red "X's" in the channel guide)
The DVR says that American Idol conflicts with The Mentalist
The DVR says that Dancing conflicts with The Mentalist
