WLAC-TV shared rather cramped quarters with the radio in the L&C Annex at 159 Fourth Avenue North, just down from the Life and Casualty Tower. I believe they were up on the third floor. By the way, for a period of a few years, the FM station (105.9) had its studios in the observation deck of the L&C tower. I'm showing my age but I still think of the space-age building on James Robertson as the "new" place for channel 5. They were the last of the big three TVs in Nashville to move to modern, buitl-for-purpose broadcast centers, with both WSM-TV (Knob Road) and WSIX-TV (Murfreesboro Road) preceding them by a few years.
