Thanks to everyone in here for the help and guidance so far.
Looks like I'm in a pretty weak spot for KSWB 8. But it is pretty solid none the less.
I'm in the pink shading.
I disagree, ... that is not weak.....
When the image is white..... with no magenta rays.... =.... serious problems with weak signals. That whole neighborhood has no weak spots because the blanket of color is uniform
Blue, Purple & Pink simply indicate coverage "is available
" with a "maximum size" large antenna.
If you enter a UHF channel ....On the same transmitter..... You will notice smaller coverage rays,...... and areas with no signal. (VHF -vs-UHF)
That image is a general "sky coverage" representation and does not factor ground clutter such as Metal buildings, Passing Trains, Etc.
It is a somewhat accurate representation.... of what to expect...... Or basic guideline to work with.
I guess everyone will have their own interpretation of ... "Weak"
When the color shows a white zone on UHF,..... usually due to close proximity to a mountain, ..... represents not only weak,..... but a more serious problem.
You will find some streets with color .... (On one side of the street)..... and dead zones across the street.
Type a UHF channel on the same transmitter, ..... the problem areas will be noticeable.
See what KTLN (68-1) brings to your neighborhhood...
.... That represents weak.
