Samsung DLP lamp pictures (etc)

This is the HLN5065 100W toshiba lamp. A local BB had replaced one and kept the old one around to show.

Anyway, I'd never seen one of these and it was pretty interesting. Maybe some of you will be equally amazed. It's surprisingly light and... simple. I want to say cheap, because really, I was expecting alot more substance given the $250 price and what it needs to do. It was just a lamp, sheet-metal cage and power connector. There was no apparent ballast, inverter, etc.

Folks who have seen them, though... perhaps you can comment on any dissimilarities with other lamps/cages you've seen, such as mountings, electrical connector type, etc. I'm particularly interested in comparisons with the 120W Osram lamp (if someone could take pics, I'd be much abliged!).

Don't do it in the post quick reply box. Click the "Post Reply" button and it will give you the option to attach pics.

Ten 99 - thanks... I was hitting "quote".

Jimmy - I've heard that. Are there any differences in the cage, electrical interface, etc?

Anyhoo... the rest of the pics follow. I hope this is useful to folks.
