Damn!t. That bill should have been left to die.
these "early shutdown" crawls air....
5 times an hour through saturday
10 times an hour sunday through tuesday
Ya the A-hole FCC rules for when they have to air are in: http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_publi...FCC-09-7A1.pdf
Stations like WKOW, which are totally HD-SDI, are forced to air that crap during primetime as well. I am really glad that I get ABC programming via other means.
To top it off, the above mentions an appendix: http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_publi...FCC-09-7A2.pdf
In that appendix are a list of stations that the A-hole FCC has declared as not being able to shutdown on the 17th, unless they meet very strict criteria. Guess what, all for of the major network stations in Madison are not allowed to shut down on the 17th. WBUW isn't listed because they are not a primary network affiliate and do not provide news, etc.
The big four in town are going to have to have a pow-wow and submit a statement by 5pm on Fri the 13th saying that they comply (the stations can cooperate were one will do the dirty work).
This is all bull-crap. I am so pissed at all of the A-holes inside the beltway right now that it isn't funny anymore.
