Message Thread Order

This may not be the best place to post this but here's a request for all to consider: Would you prefer to have the messages under a topic listed in the order with the most recent first so that it wouldn't be necessary to scroll to the bottom (or the last page) to see the new or unread messages. I would and I tried to see if there were a setting to change this in preferences, but couldn't find one if it's there.
Just a small request. This is a great forum.

That is how it looks to me

I see Theory's message, followed by baimo's, followed by the one you are reading!

It would be confussing to the readers coming in for the fist time to read a topic. If their are 10 posts, they would read the last one first and it would make no sense.

No current option is available for the user to select what they would like to see. I also do not see one in the works knowing how the board functions.

All.

Exactly what I meant is:

first: message3 posted 6/13
second: message2 posted 6/12
third: message1 posted 6/11

ie, the first message one would see is the newest and if an old topic, one could scroll down to the older messages. In Outlook, Eudora and other email packages one can click on a bar above the dates and reverse the date order of the display as desired newest or oldest first.

I, for one, am in favor of empowering anyone to do anything they want to do, so long as it's just an option (and so long as nobody gets hurt!)

David Bott,

I'm pretty dumb so I'd fall into the "confused" category if this scheme were to be "imposed!"

I would prefer for it to remain as is. I believe that the posts become one long successive answer to the original question and reads like a short story. I think it would be nice if each user could perform a sort based upon his or her own preferences. Randy
