The only reason we didn't include the DVD-HD841 or DVD-HD941 in the bundle is Samsung has dragged their feet on when they will be shipping, and no one wants that headache again.

Yes, unfortunately Arnold requires us to collect sales tax from CA residents.

We obviously want to keep our local business though, so CA residents might get a special gift with their purchase. :)

We've got a sales office in Poulsbo, WA, and purchased another e-tailer, www.accessoryexperts.com which is based in WA. Unfortunately, that requires us to charge sales tax in WA too.

Our "special gift" will of course be extended to WA residents too!

Glad to hear your wife is doing well. Yes, you are correct, we have alot more control this time around.

HD2+ , Captain Kirk models, and xHD3 models

Before this thread gets out of control, I'd like to comment on the above models.

We'd like to think we've learned alot from our experiences with the first HLM PowerBuy. One of the first things we learned was not to initiate a PowerBuy for a product that even the manufacturer can't say for sure when it's really shipping. This applies to all three of the above models.

My understanding is Samsung is still ironing out the details on all three of those models, especially the Captain Kirk units. They still don't even know how to effectively ship those models because of the unusual shape of it.

The second thing we learned from our experiences, was not to quote prices before Samsung actually sends out dealer pricing. It's easy to assume what pricing can be by taking "x"% off of MSRP, but we prefer to base our cost on most definitive information.

And finally, the last thing we learned from our experiences is not to initiate a PowerBuy until Samsung commits to building "x" amount of units. To give you an idea, the first HLM models rolled out 500 a month way back then. Now, the HLP models are rolling out at 20k+ a month from their production lines. Until we get more info from Samsung on production levels for the previously mentioned models, they and us would prefer not to commit to a PowerBuy this far in advance.

Any retailer who is taking pre-orders for those units is simply insane, because they are doing so blindly, and without a true idea when/if they will even ship. What I promise you is we have the ear of Samsung, and when the time is right, we'd like nothing more than to fulfilling a PowerBuy for those models.

I hope that makes sense.

Some answers for you folks:

1) We haven't decided for sure when the PowerBuy will end, but we know it will be open through the end of July.

2) The Samsung warranty does not cover the bulb, although if it dies very prematurely, they use swap it out no problem.

3) Canada orders are fine. Contact Hugh Mahoney at (888) 286-5353 ext 501 during normal business hours to discuss shipping costs. Samsung's warranty is only valid in the US though.
