I love my 53UWX10B TV, but it does one thing that's driving me crazy.
When watching a letterboxed, wide screen movie, the Hitachi has four aspect modes: Normal, Full, Fill, and the useless "Smooth Wide".
The problem is, when "Fill" is selected, the picture is too tall for the screen. I found a way to adjust the vertical position, but what I really need to do is SHRINK the vertical dimension down about 10% so the tops of people's heads aren't being cut off.
Is there any way of doing that through a menu, or is this something that requires a service technician?
Sure seems to me that if I could do this with a button on the front of my computer monitor, I ought to be able to do it on my TV.
Anyone?
Thanks!
