That's how I feel when I mess with my new Moxi.
I'd like a "SCIFI" category. Or maybe a "my" category. I had to dig around a bit to find some things in the premium channel menus. HBO and ShowTime series were a bit hard to find.
One bit of confusion I've had. After setting up multiple recordings, I went to watch something else. Well, I had two things set to record right then, so both tuners were busy. The box brought up an option to cancel one of the recordings, but there was nothing to let me just switch and watch one of them. I had to read the channel number and enter it manually to let the box switch to what was being recorded on the other tuner.
LOL. I haven't had it a week, and already I want a 4 tuner box.
I don't have HDTV yet, so I'm well impressed with the picture quality on my old Motorola. All channels look just great ;-)
I think I've been thinking about plugging a hard drive into my box to see what happens. Anyone done this? The usb ports are supposed to be on, as the picture download function requires them.
Hey, Moxiguy, is that big flat plate in front where the DVD drive is installed in that model? Maybe a little pry with a driver and I can put in my own? Just kidding. But I know that's why so many people want to buy their own box, so they can experiment. I don't feel like writing a big check to Charter to replace mine after a little brain salad surgery.
QUESTION: Does the ethernet outlet in the back give me internet access yet? I seem to remember seeing something about it being able to act as a modem interface so you didn't have to have a separate cable modem. That would be great! More for redundancy than anything else. It would be nice to connect my laptop there and not have to deal with a weak wireless signal when it rains.
