Yep Alan. I plan to kick back all day long and watch some dvd's during the day and finish off the day watching HDnet & HDnet Movies that has some good horrors on this friday evening in HD. Couldn't ask for a better b-day.
Now if Earz would give us his thoughts on his Panny45, Kenwood and JVC F10 comparison I know then wether to wait on the Panny70 or jump on the Kenwood. He wanted to put 100+ hours on the Kenwood first. If it's been cooking since his first 24 hour mark impression then it's gotta be hitting the 200 hour mark.
Daryl, Happy Birthday
As far as the imo shootout, I have not got around to it yet as I have been busy whith work and I received my modified Sim Audio i-5 back and have been listening to mostly 2 channel cd and sa-cd whith my little bit of free time.
I now have to keep all the digitals as the return period is over.
I scored a second Pany 45 and plan on having both modified and using both for a 6.1 bi amped H/T set up.
The Kenwood and the JVC are both powered up but have not been used in a week or so, but I still plan on doing an imo shootout this sunday, and I may even do a blind test on a couple of people to see what they like whithout prejudice for H/T and cd use.
I don't think you can go wrong whith the 7100 if your using it for H/T and 2 channel analog sources, and the only complaint I have heard about it at any board is that it lacks mutil channel ins for hi rez.
Just because I have experienced 5 digital receivers does not make me any guru or expert on what somone else may prefer.
I would hope you would base your decision on others opinions as well.
I will post my opinion(and possibly others) by Sunday evening though whatever the results may be.
Sorry about the wait.
