Cox loses subs and Cox gains subs. Most people will stay put. Just as when a bank raises some fees. People will complain but won't expend the time, expense and/or energy to move on.
There are also many people that don't have access to FIOS and others who have tried a dish (generic) or OTA and found reception to be poor.
In the grand scheme of things, it is only TV. Read a book, take a walk with the family, volunteer for something, etc.
