Thanks!

I don't have a date worth quoting honestly. That is where that team is focused right now.

This has probably already been asked and answered already but does anyone have any info on what channel "Fox Sports 1" is going to be on for the Hampton Roads area?
Unless something changed, it's replacing Speed according to the Pilot.

For Cox customers who subscribe to the TV Essential package, Fox Sports 1 will replace the Speed Network on channel 63. Some of Speed's current programming will continue on Fox Sports 1, said Hobie Ritzel, product marketing director for Cox.

I hope we redo all the channels at some point

Occasio,
Can you please lobby for FXX and FXXHD (which is replacing Fox Soccer) when it is launched, to remove it from the Sports and Info Pak, and place it in either Essential or the Variety Pak, which is a much more appropriate place, considering the change in content.

Thanks

Wonder if 63 will still have an analog channel when Fox sports 1 moves there?

I think it's going to be interesting over the next few years when we have channels changing their programming dramatically like this. You can be sure Bryan we are having that convo. There are some other Pak changes coming soon. HRD will have some other new channels very soon.

Programmers aren't the only ones "re-branding." In many areas, Cox has "re-branded" the Plus package channels as the "Contour HD Channels" with the fine print "Contour HD Channels requires rental of a Contour receiver." We all know that this isn't true. Or have TiVo DVRs and HTPCs now been re-branded as Contour receivers?

Noticed some discussion about a Cox Cable offering IPTV package in one of their areas for those with internet service but not TV. From what I could tell, it's a pretty horrible service with regard to selection/price/quality.

Where did you see that? I would love to ask that same question.

Contour HD channels at bottom of list, and fine print below that.

Not having that issue with mine. Try power cycling it.

So on Tuesday a tech came over and figured out why my client box would not work with my two new six tuner DVR's. It was pretty simple. The equipment list on my account didn't show that I have a client box. This had been gone over previously with another tech Friday and Saturday and by me on Sunday with the Cox office. So there was no problem with the hardware whatsoever. They just spent a lot of time and money sending out techs because they couldn't get their act together to properly read the screen back at the office for 5 days. Amazing. Cox really needs to do some better training with the people at their office. Almost every time I've had a problem it has been there and not at my house with my equipment. I've been a customer for a long time and this always seems to be the case.
So overall, the new Cisco six tuner whole house DVR's seem to be good. Were getting a few errors of "that function not available right now" when trying to set season recordings. Other than that, no complaints. I'm sure that's just a software bug they're working out. It's not even that often. Give me the android version of the "contour" app and I'll be a very happy customer.

Any feedback on the Contour app?

I have just spent a day with the app here in PHX. Here are initial comments:

1) Navigating the pages can be tedious during setup, having to use the "back" button in the upper left repeatedly to get back to the "home" screen.
2) In the Favorites page, the scrolling of the channel logos is not smooth
3) The Favorites page has several instances of two copies of the same channel logo, for instance two BBC America logos to choose, but no indication if there is any difference, such as SD or HD.
4) The app only allows a log in with the primary user's ID and password, rather than allowing individual authorized users.

I did find the "home" button via help, which did speed up navigation.

I do find that having the app starting up with content playing in the background annoying, as you have to go to the program and either mute it, pause or stop it, otherwise it continues to run.

Are you saying Extra Time will only be in SD or will these also be in the 1170's?

Need a little help with a DVR function...I recently had to swap out an old DVR with a newer one (DCX-3400-M). With the older DVR, When I deleted channels thru the preferences prompt, these channels would not show up on the guide listing. I know that I had to use the "A" button to select the custom view which allowed this to happen. With this newer DVR, I have the same channels deleted, however, they still appear on the guide. I have set the custom view numerous times, but every time the TV is turned off and then back on, the guide goes back to the default setting(Shows ALL channels). Anyone have any thoughts how I can keep the custom view setting where the channels I have deleted do not show on the guide??

Thanks
