Comcast is terrible. Only Comcast, to whom customers are merely a nuisance, would promise a big HD upgrade for Chesterfield on a certain date, fail to meet that date, and offer zero explanation to us annoying, demanding customers who want to know WHEN we might expect more HD channels (not choices, which means NOTHING to me). Comcast has a history of neglecting and abusing customers, then acts surprised that so many are defecting to Fios and satellite. If I ran a business the way Comcast runs theirs, I would be shuttered and in liquidation in a matter of months, if not weeks. But not Comcast, who believes it is their divine right to take your money, give you a subpar product, worse than horrible customer service, and expect you to be happy that they bestowed the privilege on you of being a "customer". How ungrateful we are to expect them to actually keep the dates they promised HD upgrades for us. How inconsiderate of us to actually seek out information as to when these promised "upgrades" might occur now. How callous of us to complain about Comcast while they are dreaming up new and clever ways to be sadistic to us unappreciative subjects. What were we thinking?
Comcast absolutely blows. My old house in Midlothian had Fios, and I'm telling you, there is no comparison. Switching from Comcast to Fios was one of the most satisfying things I've done with TV service in a long time, and I don't usually get worked up about this kind of stuff, but after years of cable outages, internet slowdowns and outages, and nonexistent customer service, I had reach the breaking point and gladly switched.
But now, as I've been sucked back into the vortex that is Comcast, it's like deja vu all over again. This latest lie of theirs is over the top. I'm stuck with the same tepid HD channel selection I had before Jan 18 with no idea when the new ones will come. I have no faith that Comcast will deliver those channels any time soon, much less the others they have promised on 2/17. Worse, Comcast just doesn't give a crap what I, or anyone else, thinks. What a horrible excuse for a company, and I shudder to think what will happen to those pour souls at NBC, now that the evil empire owns them. I hope, for NBC's sake, that the Comcast culture doesn't trickle down to NBC. If it does, the once proud network will be emasculated and find itself extinct.
Hey Comcast, smoke this: If I could get Fios where I live today, I would put it in now, without hesitation, even if it cost me more money. It pains me to no end to pay you every month, when I know your product sucks and your service is terrible. I feel like the little schoolkid who gets beaten up and has his lunch money stolen every day by the school bully.
I never liked the satellite option, but DirectTV, here I come. You can't be any worse than those morons in Philadelphia who have made a living from fleecing their victims...er, I mean "customers", for years now.
Sorry, had to vent...
