I think you misread the filing. "KLLC" refers to KASY License LLC. Given that "KASY" is part of the licensee's name, I don't think they plan to change the call letters.

K43HW-LD is now on the air, but a wast of bandwith by just carring KDAZ-AM radio station "REG" with static video icon. Not only that they are realyng off KYNM-CA RF ch. 51 "Remapped to ch. 30.1" I called channel bandwith hogging!!eek.gif

RF ch. 43 is now running at 15 KW ERP off the Sandia Crest and the the new owner of this station is RJ Enterprise.

In sum off all I just thinking they are just testing their signal.....

Anyway have fun TV Dxing!!biggrin.gif

Minor update on K43HW-LD, they remove KDAZ-AM video slate card to a blank screen but the audio is still there though. Not much else going on.smile.gif Stay warm!!smile.gif
post #7391 of 7411
Thanks for the heads up on K43HW. They are putting a good, if uninteresting signal into Los Alamos. I was never able to get even a hint of their analog signal from the West Mesa transmitter site.

Why is KCHF-DT, is getting sloppy with their Weather nation channel on RF ch. 10.2? The picture looks like I am watching Euro 576i, 25 FPS 50 Hz, they should be at full 720p with 60 FPs and not only that they have bad video freez up from time to time!!eek.gif

The signal leavel looks fine at 58 to 62$ here in Albuquerque using my small outdoor antenna.

Other news K43HW-LD went off the air again and I have no idea how long it will last.

Lastly any idea on what happen to KQDF-LP, ch. 25 analog it's been off the air for few years now?

The FCC database used to list a construction permit for them to switch to digital on channel 33 from Sandia Crest. That CP disappeared from the FCC database some time ago. I have no idea what their status is.

Hello Lujan...

I haven't been able to get KRQE-13 over the air for about a year now. Recently I experimented by holding my indoor antenna in different areas at different angles and got brief signals occasionally, but I can't hold the antenna just right for an hour or more. Note that I can just hang the antenna up in a northeast facing window and get 2.1, 2.2, 4.1, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2, 7.1, 7.2, 14, 19, and several other low-power ones just fine. I am located downtown, southwest of tall/thick buildings between me and the peak... structures that don't interfere with the other stations' broadcasts rolleyes.gif Fortunately, I finally discovered that cbs.com does play certain shows I want to see, so I don't need KRQE, though I'd like to get another local news outlet again someday.

Other news on KRTN-LD, is off the air due to some kind of work on Sandia Crest antenna farm so that's mean more change in the OTA world!smile.gif

Well, now it's time of the year for TV skip season!!smile.gif

I noted the analog Mexican stations are coming in on VHF low band ch. 2 to ch. 6 and no luck on Dxing digital signals yet so far. So hoping this year will be better than last year.
