I called local service center first but they don't have the service information for this set. I am still waiting...

bconover1328, at least you are happy with your picture quality. For some reason, the picture quality of my xbox on the 30HF84 is almost unbearable. the cars in Rallisport 2 under 480P are very jaggy and the colors are much washed out, while the picture in my returned 30PW850H is great.
Today I didn't receive a call from service center as promised. So, I need to call them again tomorrow.

Okay, i've had my TV since Thursday and hooked up my new Directv HD. I'm almost embarassed to admit that I don't think I have any of the problem everyone here is talking about.
The HD channels to me look fantastic. Standard channels don't looks so good, but that's after watching HD on the same TV for a while. When compared to a standard TV, the standard picture is any worse, maybe a little better.
Should I be able to see the problems everyone else is having without knowing much about HDTVs?
Just in case anyone care, my TV build date is July/2004 SN 5408C5XXX.
After monitoring theis thread, I spend more time looking for problems than I do enjoying the shows.
NFL HD was great along with the Champ Car race on the HD network.

So the general problems of geometry on on the 4:3 image? How does it look stretched to 16:9? When I looked in the store I didn't notice a difference watching 16:9. The tv looked real real good with HD.
Everything I do will either be stretched to 16:9 or 16:9 by default except for an odd DVD movie. Will I even notice a geometry problem if I have one?
My tv comes Friday.
