Am i the only one that gets irked when i see that "fox 44 in Hd" logo on shows that ARENT in HD?

Is this during only FOX network SD shows? (Like 5th grader)

FOX controls the logo during network (except live when they use a generic)
The station has no control over it comes on to protect FOX national spots.

We use the inHD because most of the FOX programming is "inHD"

I checked with the station and they say it is never up except during FOX.

Nielsen TV market rankings have been changed. Does any one know what BR is now?

We encountered some issues with viewer decoders in another market that indicated that we needed to restart the HD encoders after changing settings.

We re-checked all of the settings in the WBRL (Cable & OTA) encoder and rebooted it this morning.

Would you please check WBRL 21.1 sometime and see if this corrected the audio issue?

It is reporting as 1920x1080i on RF 21 now via TSReader. I deleted 21.x from my Dish722 and rescanned it, but I'm still not getting audio. I figured the 1920x1080i would fix it. Weird... wonder what is flipping out the Dish722 tuner for no audio.

I checked the audio settings again and they are set exactly the same as WVLA. Dolby Digital (AC-3), 384 KBS Bit rate, and 48 KHz Sample rate.

I'm at a loss guys. Don't know anything else to do to fix the problem.

I was comparing it to other locals today via TSReader, and I couldn't see why it still does not have audio either.

Went up to my buddy's house in Clinton, LA today. 21 and 19 come in just fine there on his CM4228(10 foot off ground..distribution amp to 3 TV's). On his Samsung LCD, 21 has audio. I did notice it takes a bit longer to tune this channel though.

Yeah, forgot to mention that the other day. I walked in and saw ThisTV on the screen and I said "Nice! They got it up!" My buddy said, I just happened to stop on it and never noticed it was a new channel.

The PSIP guide only shows "DTV Program" and THISTV is not in TVGOS.

I guess what dennis is saying is DishNetwork has the Guide Data for this channel...or should I say TitanTV and such have it mapped correctly in the "chain" unlike 44.2, 19.1, and 21.1 where the chain seems to be broken.

I was in baton Rouge this past weekend @ the Residence inn on seigen. They had cox cable and the tv's got all of the analog channels and some digital ones (in the 70-. something range i think) only one of the digitals was hd. Pelican sports or pelican something. All of the others were sd. They had the locals and even some others espn, etc, but none of the locals were hd. I rescanned the tv's but no difference. Does cox br not have qam hd any more/ or was it something with the hotel?
Probably something with the hotel. Pelican sports said they would have their digital running over a year ago. I haven't heard from them since then. It would be on RF 14.

KPBN - http://www.fcc.gov/fcc-bin/tvq?list=0&facid=167737 Check out the height on that puppy! Reminds me of the old rock station I listened to in Lafayette, the DJ's used to always joke that if they put a basketball hoop on the antenna it still would be too short for regulation basketball

As far as I know this list is still true:
http://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun...#lineup_638589

Apparently it is updated as it also lists THISTV on there.

Not a fluke...quite a few of them across Baton Rouge.

I never cared for them though.

Best hangover remedy going. Two tacos, 99 cents. Load them up with the taco sauce, and you are good to go...

Minor point here: 5th Grader has been in HD since Fall 2008.

I think it is 16:9 SD too. Fills the screen with no pillar boxes but doesn't have that crisp edges and color like HD does. Figured it was SD or HD with real cheap cameras.

If you have a stream analyzer you can tell by the bit rate.

FOX drops the bit rate to around 8-10 MBits during upconverted wide screen.
They increase the bandwidth to 14-15MBits when they are true 720p HD.

My bad, dahling. I can't usually stomach more than a few seconds of Ms. Foxworthy.

Richard Crenna fans rejoice as the area has a new ThisTV affiliate on 50.2 KLWB with the wx info & KXKW audio moved to 50.3. Still no HD on 50.1.
Heard their parent company picked up 103.7 FM Opelousas.

Cox Sports Television gets deal for Southeastern Conference games
by The Times-Picayune
Thursday September 17, 2009,

Cox Sports Television has reached a multiyear agreement with ESPN Regional Television for the rights to Southeastern Conference content beginning this fall.
Opening with the 2009-10 season, CST will air a minimum of 92 SEC events, including a minimum of six football games, 20 men's basketball games, 16 women's basketball games and 50 other sports events, including baseball, softball, volleyball, women's soccer and gymnastics.
In 2002, CST became the exclusive regional sports network home for LSU by providing up to 37 Tiger events per year. Since then, the number of events has grown to more than 50, including full-game football replays on Sunday and Wednesday nights during the season.

I"m getting video but no audio
I just recently moved to another home and haven't set my OTA up yet. Might rig up my amplified rabbit ears to the DVR since I need to record 3 things at a time coming up this week with the new season starting.

I noticed TitanTV has THISTV up correctly...well 34.2..correct in my eyes But no 45.2 and 19 and 21 are still listed as analog

Anyone have any contacts we can start knocking on doors via email or something? I used the Contact Us link and sent them a short email. We will see...

Someone from the station had to let them know that 33.2 is now thistv, rather than the weather plus info they had. If we could only get the 19/21/44.2 info, we could possibly watch those channels.

As for titan, I sent them an email a long time ago and they responded with something not even remotely close to what i asked about the channel data. Hopefully you have better luck.

Fox44 cuts off the end of house to show their news. I cant believe no one at the station doesnt wait until the network programming is over before they go to their newscast. They cutoff the end of the show, they cut off the previews for next week and they cutoff the credits. Luckily i also get fox8 new orleans so i could switch and actually see the end of the 2 hour program i was watching.
Shame on fox44 They will have a lot of upset viewers.

I'm not sure but I think network's contracts with the screen actors guild requires that credits be shown. I wonder what Fox or the actual producers of the program have to say about this? Last spring, WWL-TV was doing this, and I wrote to CBS. Never heard from the network but I think the practice has been corrected.
