I've got a Phillips amplified indoor antenna too but it wasn't the problem-solver I hoped it would be. I'm in BR but I've got buildings in the way, no doubt causing multipath issues which causes a lot of dropouts and freezes.
I've also got a Channel Master 4221 which is normally for outside use but I'm trying to get away with indoor only. It works about as well as the Phillips. Tomorrow when my antenna preamp and 100' of RG-6 coax comes in I'll spend the day experimenting with best reception/location, but I have a suspicion that I'll end up having to mount it outside after all.
Got the CM7777 preamp in today. What a disappointment. I hooked it up to my present setup and not only is there no difference, it looks like Solid Signal sold me one that had been returned seeing there are scratches where someone had mounted it. I guess they didn't see any difference either. I thought this was supposed to be a good preamp.
It did make a difference on WBRZ (when they stopped going off the air at random) when I used the VHF input only (after moving the switch) but of course that chops off all the other channels. Guess I'll sleep on it to decide whether or not to send it back.
