While dish may be picking it up for free they do have costs to uplink it back to Cheyenne where Dish's main uplink is. Those are costs. So its not "free"
Also remember the Minneapolis DMA is huge. It runs from Iowa all the way to Canada (well one county short) and alot of the market can't get an OTA signal. KARE doesnt have the translator setup that the other Big4 so once you get outside of the metro area (especially north) there is no NBC.
I just love how Cheap Charlie says "I'm standing up to these companies to keep your bill lower"....BWAHAHAHAHA! Yeah sure. You raise your rates just as much as Directv does. Sure you had that "price freeze" for 2 years. I shutter what Dish subs will get in February as their price hike.
