LOST - on ABC in HDTV - NO SPOILERS  

Absolutely friggin' loved it! Great PQ, and maybe the best sounding DD5.1 I've heard from a tv show! Can't wait for more! And to think, I considered watching Hawaii or Smallville.

Excellent story, excellent PQ and sound. No dropouts or glitches unlike NBC glitch city.

According to the article in the USA Today today, it's shot it Hawaii.

I think it's pretty smart that they haven't shown the monster or the crash - kinda like holdin' off on showin' the shark in Jaws. Just builds up the suspense more, y'know? They're comin' sooner or later -- should be great.

They filmed Jurassic Park in Hawaii, so maybe it's a dinosaur.

This show will get real stupid fast. they already need a monster on the show because there is only so much you can do with people stranded on an island, one season and done

I thought it was good too. A nice break from the standard cop drama. I thought the PQ was great... much better than some of the other HD dramas.

What is the deal with the funny looking guy form the band? You think he had something to do with the plane crash?

I'm guessin' he's on drugs.

I enjoyed this show very much as well. It's from the same director (JJ Abrams) as Alias, so I had a good feeling about it. I have a feeling that they will never show the "monster" since the show would immediately turn into the 4th Jurrasic Park flick...there's something about the unknown that helps build the drama a little more.

Have to agree, this pilot rocked! Great use of the sub for a change. All around quality a/v! Can't wait to see next week's episode.

I think so. He was the one who rushed up to the bathroom just before what sounded like an explosion. He was checking out the bathroom when they found the cockpit too.

Definately a good start!! At times with the 5.1 mix i thought i was watching a dvd (obviously with better pq though). The main character Jack was on Kimmel last night and said the show will go into the background of about 12 people and how the island changes them. I'll definately be tuning in again next week.

After LAX, Hawaii, Joey, Father of the Pride, etc. this program really stands out. We fianally have a semi-original program (okay so it includes elements of a number of genres). I couldn't believe how good it sounded--actually gave my sub something to do and made good use of the surround channels. It may be hard to keep this going for more than one season--but this season should be a good ride.

The show just started here, but it is in SD instead of HD. This is a HUGE disappointment for me.

I thought it was interesting but im kinda with a previous poster that it will get old quick.. It seems too much like a Jurrasic park type show.. And the main character (Fox) is too much like a Macgyver, he knows everything.. From what i hear though ABC has alot riding on this show, its supposed to be it's premier show..
