IMO, there is nothing on NBC that even comes close to Lost.

I'm ELATED after hearing word of this news....my wife (don't forget the WAF of this whole HD thing now...) is now COMPLAINING that NBC did this....for now she has to CHOOSE which one of these HD presentations she watches....and LOST wins out of course! So, in MY household, I'm hoping that THIS ONE SINGLE solitary move hastens her UNDERSTANDING of the NEED for the D* HD-TIVO! Or several of them.....

Quite Macchiavellian eh?

If LAX bites the dust....

maybe Heather Locklear will pop-up somewhere on the "LOST" island???

I wouldn't mind that at all!!! As long as she doesn't have "Billy" tag along...

"Hot Russian Chicks" is an oxymoron.

Ex-Lax.

That does seem pretty dumb. I sort of like LAX and I can HD record both Smallville & Lax given both a PCHD card and the Moto 6208. But I have to remember to bring up the 2nd computer before going to work if I want to add the 3rd HD show and I probably won't usually bother. Oh well. Bye Heather.

BTW, I had some trepidation about reading and posting on this thread at 8:15 due to possible spoilers while I'm building PVR slack. But I guess it was safe this time.

I bet the two folks in the cave are Amelia Earhart and her navigator.

The ABC station here in Dallas(WFAA) jumped the gun again today, they flipped the SD switch at 7.59pm. They seem to be a in a hurry to get to SD programming, don't know why....

The white and black stone clinched it for me. The wierd animals and such must be there for the reason I suspected...

as much as alias has gone down the tubes, i have to say that j.j. abrams' style and presentation in Lost and Alias is remarkable..the only other show that comes close in terms of production quality is CSI Vegas

tonight's episode was really good
Still very impressed. Reminds me of an HBO series more than network TV. And still great pq and sound

Enjoyed the show. Didn't enjoy the lack of HD in the Salt Lake City area ......again! Last week the first 10 minutes was SD before it switched to HD. Today, the whole episode was in SD. Can we say "incompetent."

Two words...Anna Kournikova

Oh...and I always pad a minute on the end with my DVR...according to my SA8000HD, tonight's show ended (plus previews) with 2 minutes recording time left.
That is actually a plausable theory.

Sorry but I'm not sure what you are referring to?

I'm actually quite surprised with the lack of posts about tonights episode. Although I guess nothing really happened but I had a few questions:

1. What do you suppose the Korean womans father does? My brother guessed organized crime.

2. What did she ask the black guy when she asked for help?

The more they talk about time (i.e. tonight about the time it would take clothes to degrade, etc.) the more it seems like they did end up in the future or something. I also got the distinct feeling the bodies might be those of Jack and Kate.........

He said degradation like that takes 50 years........ granted I know next to nothing about flying, but in 1954 there wasnt much for commercial flights was there? Not to mention, was there a commercial plane with a range of 1000 miles back then?

1. I'd guess organized crime, too, masquerading as ligitimate industry until daddy needs somebody beat up (or worse).

2. We don't know...they didn't show that...

3. I like the idea that the bodies are those of Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan (her navigator).

The Lockheed Super Constellation of the 50s had a range in excess of 4600 miles.

and what theory would that be??

She probably asked him to return the watch...
In one of the earlier episodes Locke was playing backgammon....and he mentioned white and black and they showed the white and black game pieces. I'm guessing that Locke is ground zero for the whole "adventure" they are in for

I love the way we get slow reveals on different characters. Changes your entire perception of them once you know their backstory.

Who's up next week? I'm thinking Charlie.

Somebody may have said this before, but it seems that virtually everyone was on this plane due to unforeseen or unwanted circumstances.

Kate was captured. The Korean woman (Sun, was it?) never originally intended to be on this flight. She changed her mind. Locke's expedition ended prematurely. Jack had to go look for his father. The girl who drowned came home early because she got sick and couldn't scuba dive...

"Fate" as Charlie's original hand sign said. Interesting to see how fate or whatever put these people one that plane.

In the lack of continuity department, did anyone notice in the flashback when the husband is washing the blood off in the bathroom that his shirt, right sleeve specifically, is smeared with blood, but in the last camera shot as he reaches into the sink, the sleeve is perfectly clean?

You missed the product placement for "Oxi-Clean".

Has anyone figured out why the watch was on the plane to begin with? It looked like the Korean man had his own watch (though I could be confused with the handcuffs), and it didn't look like the woman's father was on the plane.

The husband was protecting the watch, but I just wonder its purpose.

Best moment for me was Locke's statement to Charlie that the island will give you what you need, but you have to give something back.

Now look up!

Wow.
The best moment for me was when Charlie said to Kate, "Really I thought they were C's".

That was funny.

I am not exactly sure why taking your clothes off is a good way to prevent bee stings, but whatever Kate wants to do is fine with me.

I just figured they would jump in the water.
