"Compu-Link" connection on JVC equiptment

I've got an old AMX Axcent 2 I'm using to control all my home theater stuff. Unfortunately my only CD player right now is a 5-disc JVC that doesn't even have an IR sensor. On the other hand it does have JVC's "compu-link" which I would imagine is something similar to Sony's S-Link or Mitsubishi's AV Network (or something like that). Does anyone know if this is essentially an IR port? I'll probably just run a wire to it tomorrow and play with it, but if anyone knows for certain that'd definately help.

You are correct. JVC uses this "link" as a very simple way for
their televisions and vcr's (and cd players, etc) to talk to each
other.

Basically, with the link connected from cd player to receiver, when you
press play on the cd player it will switch the receiver to the cd input.
I am pretty sure that is all it can do. It _may_ have the ability to sync
cd playing with tape recording (via a JVC tape deck) but I doubt it.

Let me know what you find!

I actually tried this the other day and it didn't work. When I get a chance (who knows when that may be) I'm going to try and find some documentation on what the input on this should actually be seeing.
