Very nice layout! I wish I would have put more thought into mine when I made my template, but because I want all of the spines to match, I doubt I will change mine!

Some coverart will soon be available to you for download.

As I am so excited to finally be able to record Shawshank, I am posting my custom artwork for it. The spine is faithfully recreated using the original font. The back is totally custom.

anybody have covers for any of the Pixar movies... Toy Story, Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life, or Monsters, Inc since all have aired on ABC?

Did anyone ever get a site up for people to post the covers in full size? I thought that was a good idea.

I was working with one member here to host custom covers, but it may have fallen apart. If someone else has some webspace and a fair amount of HTML coding skills, I would be glad to send my covers.

Nice work, on the Shawshank Redemption.

I switched away from using "silver" in the borders at the top and the bottom, becasue when printed out it just looked a drap gray.

I switched to using gold borders instead.

I normally customize a basic DVD cover scan, but only one or two qucik changes, nothing like the effort you went through.

"Nice work, on the Shawshank Redemption."

For sure, using it as wallpaper on this box (had RAINMAKER before this), all neat stuff. Too bad the web site did not work out, maybe someone else can pitch in?

Have a great Holiday............

It hasn't fallen apart. I'm still working on the site. But family illnesses and business obligations keep delaying my finishing it. I apologize for the delay and promise you it will be up and running by New Year's day.

BUMP.....

Work sucks. But seriously, it's almost finished. It is VERY drudgereport looking. It's all I have time for. But that's the way it works. I have had time to make a link here and a link there on the HTML file and it's nearly complete. Just so darn busy this last month.

Mike...I think Matt will have the site up within the week. I am anxious to see it, as I can not remember what I have sent him so far, and I have many more covers to share.

I've got a couple questions for everyone regarding their DVHS covers.

1. What type of paper are you printing your covers onto? I've been using some HP glossy card stock, but not sure if that's the preferrred material.

2. What type of cases do you store your tapes in? From the pics, it looks like you've got some nice clear cases.

Thanks for all info!

1. Generally just ultra-white paper.
2. Just regular VHS cases. Mine have a slight texture to the window. I get mine from "99biz" on ebay.

I love doing D-VHS covers, but all that work may be for just another year...when BluRay or HD-DVD replaces my D-VHS collection.

Re: paper, I've started using medium weight/matte finish photo paper. It's cheaper than real glossy paper & more importantly wastes less ink. The quality is close to glossy, but not quite as good.

Re: cases, I bought my D-VHS cases here. They're a tad bigger than the cases D-Theater tapes come in.

I'll send Matt my D-VHS covers as well--the ones he doesn't already have.

Matt, here are the covers I have. Which ones should I send you? I think my covers are of different size than djdrock's since the VHS cases I use are of different size...
