CI & D-ILA - Does CI need customization?

I've several times on this forum that the CI doesn't work properly with a D-ILA without some special tweaking. Is this really the case? If so, what specifically do these tweaks accomplish?

I currently have the G11 & Quadscan, but I'm annoyed with a number of things about the QS. I've also pre-ordered the Cygnus 16:9 lens, and it does not appear as though the QS will work with that.

Has anyone done a good comparison of the QS & CI?

CI works great with the dila. No mods needed. Read some post's on this forum below.

You will "need" mods if you are projecting onto a 16x9 screen though. They're not absolutely necessary (thus the quotes) but simplify the installation and make a D-ILA behave like a 16x9 projector.

How long did you say it was going to take to get the answer on the possibility of adding a Top/Center/Bottom picture alignment feature to the CI? http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/wink.gif
