Nevermind, on the KWSU (KTNW Parent station) website they have this message.

KTNW Transmitter Failure
KTNW's transmitter in the Tri-Cities has had a major failure. It will be days before it is operational again and we expect to be back on the air by Tuesday at the earliest.

Our engineers are working overtime to fix this issue and will be in discussions shortly with the manufacturer, Larcan, to determine the fastest route to get it repaired.

We apologize for the inconvenience to our viewers.
As we learn more, we will keep you posted.

I know it is still down! I checked their page and the message I referenced above was taken down. Also their contact page leads to an error. So there really isn't anyway to get an update.

Also, is anyone else having severe fluctuations in signal for KFFX 11.1? If I leave the signal meter on, it will work fine for several minutes and then just drop to zero signal, then jump back up. It is very random. I have not moved my antenna in almost 3 years and it is mounted in my attic, so it is not affected by wind. Is anyone else seeing this?

I also noticed the problem yesterday. Looks to me that they are transmission problems. The same thing was happening OTA and with their cable channel.

KFFX is now almost useless. Can't get 11-1 or 11-2 at all any more. Please fix this!!!

The PBS person who answered their 800 number told me they are hoping they will be broadcasting tomorrow.

Was by the D* install center in Kennewick for a remote replacement yesterday and was informed that D* will be broadcasting local stations in HD next month. About time, however, I will stay with H20 with outside antenna.

HD Locals are now live on D*!!!! It's about time! Only CW is not in HD (which is no different than OTA). Removed all my OTA and Diplex-ing equipment. Just ordered the DECA equipment to allow me to switch my in home network from Wireless to MoCA. Looking forward to streaming HD from my server to all TV's in the house.

What is up with the PBS stations in the tri-cities, everytime the wind blows a little bit my stations drop out almost constantly, I thought they just fixed the transmitter a while ago? I cannot believe the tower is moving enough to make a difference.

I'm just wondering if would it be possible to pick up the KCPQ Ellensburg translator in Yakima or is it a no go due to Manastash Ridge

It would be nice if, seeing as their is common ownership between KIMA/KEPR and KOMO, that they simply just hand over all of their operations, including news, to KOMO 4. Keep the newsrooms here but no need for studios or anything. Save them money and would look a hell of alot better than it does now. But yeah, you would think KCPQ-13 would consider getting a repeater down here too because our local FOX is boring. Being from Seattle I guess I'm spoiled by market 14 TV. I'd pick KING over KNDO, and KIRO over KIMA any day.

Emailed KIMA-TV's CE to see why the CW isn't in HD or at the very least widescreen. It is nice that pretty much everyone, KNDO, KIMA, KAPP, and KCYU are at least in widescreen... Now if KIMA can just get the CW 16:9, that would be wonderful.
