My CM-7000PAL DVR will only accept OTA program guides and time updates from two sources, TVGOS and PSIP. Local OTA program guides with full program descriptions for the coming 2 weeks can be viewed (free) on TitanTV on a PC, but can't be accessed via my DVR. Once TVGOS disappears point-and-click scheduling of recordings will be limited to the few hours displayed in the PSIP guide. Beyond that, say to schedule a recording a day or two in advance will have to be done manually, much like an old VCR.
Hopefully, Charlotte's local stations will extend their PSIP program guide to 24 hours or more, maybe someday to a full week. That would certainly be of benefit to all viewers, whether for TV alone, or with a OTA DVR. Anyone know if this is in the works at any local station?
