HD HomeRun is basically a tuner box that accepts the signal from your antenna and then broadcasts over ethernet in your home. In order to use the HD Homerun you have to have a computer running media software that can recieve and record if that's what you're after. Software like windows media center, mediaportal, mythtv, etc... If you have multiple computers in your home and would like them all to be able to view live or record tv, the hd homerun could help. The problem I've run into is there is not an easy way to watch what the hd homerun can broadcast on your tv without attaching a pc to it. There are ways to record on a pc and then serve the recorded files, but nothing as far as live tv to every screen unless you throw a computer at each location. There are different communities working on different solutions that would work, but nothing solid that I've found so far that I could use with my current equipment and setup.
