where to buy d-vhs?

i recently got a hughes non HD direct tv box, which has a d-vhs output, but cannot find any d-vhs machines for sale anymore. where can i buy one, even used, that will work with my DSS receiver? I want to time shift directv without an analog step

I have heard about a number of people that have these & think they are great, but like you say, they are discontinued. I would try the local electronics stores and do a web search.

I have a used one in perfect condition I've been intending to sell but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Me too, please. Which of the following do you have:

(1) Hughes HDR-205
(2) Hitachi VTDX815A (identical to HDR-205)
(3) RCA VR911HF

I've had the Hughes/RCA combo for a few months and recorded many movies including those with Dolby Digital and had no problems. Got 2 911's on clearance for about $100/each. They are out there, good luck finding them! My only problem now is that the Hughes is used for playback, therefore Sat. is unavailable when watching a movie.
