And remember he wanted Kim to work at CTU so she'd be safe. I guess he was concerned for her safety after his wife got killed at CTU during the first season and several of his coworkers got blown up at CTU during the second season.

Kiefer was on Charlie Rose last night and they talked almost exclusively about 24 but managed not to give away any spoilers. They did show some clips and Charlie said he had watched the 4 hour premiere already.

i think i figured out what is going to happen in the first episode from some things kiefer said on letterman, and a general pattern of comments scattered in stories about the new season.

i'll leave it at that
