Gladiator..Biggest Selling DVD Ever!

Thread Starter
This outstanding DVD has sold 4.6 million copies since it's release date, not too long ago. It has smashed all records for DVDs sold for one movie. It has been named the DVD of 2000.

Now where is that post a while ago that said MI2 would sell as many copies as this fine movie?

I got two more copies of it for Christmas! Exchanged for, SE7EN and COURAGE UNDER FIRE. Who else thinks Uncle Eric should change his name to Maximus? Best wishes!

I dont want to say I told you so, but do a search under 'A hero will rise, so will DVD sales'.
Every movie after this one has been an anti-climax, Mr Scott, any chance of a sequel. Perhaps 'Gladiator-the ghost of Maximus' lol.

if Crowe is smart, he should do the sequel 'cause Proof of Life is a mega flop. there are tons ingredients/hints in the movie and in history for a sequel. I will not believe ( oops, sounds like Maximus talking! http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ) the genre has been brought from its 35years old ashes for nothing. a title should be: "MAXIMUS" , plain and simple. let's hope for .
seen it 15times since I bought it, amazing. though there is some flaws in the post synchronization during some scenes. and bit of edge enhancement here and there. but it's a sure technical winner, close to perfection.

They could always do a Maximus prequel... Lots of history and battles that could be incorporated into the movie...

And the MPAA is worried about "copying" off air ???

Provide quality and the consumer will buy it everytime..

Who has time to record and store all this data when we can buy a
new copy with liner notes etc for $19.95 list ?
