Bond films on DVD discontinued

Just placed an order with lasersedge.com and was informed that the 18 or 19 James Bond films included in the Boxed sets have been discontinued. Because of that info, I completed my collection by ordering what I didn't already have. This info likely has made its way thru these forums. But, for you Double-Oh-Seven fans, just wanted to make sure you knew.

They'll be back. Like Arnold, they'll be back. MGM will tout new mixes and they'll be back. Bond, James Bond, is their best product. They'll be back.... Best wishes!

Hi David,
Rachael is right. Of course they will be back. Its just another marketing ploy. (I'm a marketing man myself, I should know.)
'We dont stock them anymore' We cant get them anymore'We are sold out' ....Get the picture?..........Dont you just love these guys.

Yes, it probably WAS a marketing ploy and it worked on me.....HA!! Anyway, I'll have the entire collection and be happy since I've been a Bond fan since Ian Fleming's first book. That's Bond. JAMES Bond!

Yes, they probably will re-release them at some point, but when? And for those of us who like to have a true "collection", its nice to have all of the films from the same release.

I was lucky enough to spend my teen year overseas in a country that still had 70mm size theaters, where 007 was real popular and was re-run regularly in a sort of '007-film-festival'. Unlike most chums my age, I've seen all of them on the huge screen. I'm just kicking myself for not grabbing a poster from Dr.No or Goldfinger. Dam things are worth hundreds now!

If anyone is interested, I did a comprehensive rundown of the DVD series: http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volum...o-11-2000.html

It's kind of hard to find on the site since it doesn't really fit under any of our current index headings. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks for sharing your Bond -- JAMES Bond site with the rest of us fans. I have bookmarked it and will review it frequently I'm sure. Cheers!!

It is my undestanding that the Bond films are rereleased when a new Bond film hits the screen.

They do this every time a new Bond movie comes out. The pull the Bond videos and then sometime after the new movie is out they re-release them. Its really not a big deal they did it for the last one.
