For me, it was Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS..... I believe my mother took me when I was five or six.

Might have been 101 Dalmations or Pollyanna; I'm not sure which was out first. I still have a soft spot in my heart for Hayley Mills. I also faintly remember one of the first Cinerama films, a travelogue and adventure flick hosted by Lowell Thomas. Might have been called "This is Cinerama" or something like that. I'll have to look it up. Rats, I'm suddenly getting a big urge to learn more about Cinerama--it was great, playing on three projectors at once in a large, ornate theater in Columbus, Ohio. Now the restored and beautiful Ohio Theatre. Which raises another topic--your favorite theater. See new thread.

Lion King When I was 11. Jurassic Park--holy crap! I hear I saw Back to the Future at the show...I bet that was awesome. American Pie was the biggest riot of my life (I saw it 5 times).

Brian,

I love Norman Wisdom. That guy is in his seventies now and believe me looks much the same.
I have an uncle who is retired and living out in northern cyprus (a little warmer there), this guy has every movie Norman ever made on VHS and constantly veiws them. He reckons the laughter will extend his life by another 20 years. It certainly worked for Norman.

Since I am an immigrant from India, the first movie I saw in a theater is ANDAAZ starring Dilip Kumar, India's matinee idol, Nargis and Raj Kapoor of the 50's in 1958.

The first one I can remember was The Brides of Dracula and the Crest theater for 25 cents. It was a double feature but I forget the second one. Love those Peter Cushing/Hammer films. I was 12 and it was dark when I got out. I never rode my bike home so fast!

Back when I was maybe 7, my mom let me and Jan (Bart since high school) Schneider take the bus to downtown Duluth to go unchaperoned to the Norshor theater to see "Babes In Toyland"!!! Back then movies were a whole quarter!
