JFK 2 sided disc question

I have the first version of JFK that came out on DVD. There is a new version that came out with the Oliver Stone collection.

The first version was a double sided, single layer disc. So, you had to flip the disc half way through. I read that the new version is 2 discs, single sided, dual layered.

I'm quite sure I already know the answer to my question here. Is the movie on just 1 of the discs and the other disc is extras? I don't like having to change discs like I was still watching laserdisc. I just don't want to go out and buy the new version and find out it's just like the one I already have.

Yep, you got it right. Disc A includes feature presentation and a few features including a commentary. But, most of the extras are on the second disc.

The new version is also anamorphic.

I'll be ordering the new version today then. I'll probably sell the old version on half.com.
