Even though I thought this might belong in a different section, What is your favorite DVD to "test" your system? From the high to low frequencies and best detail.
Let's see a top 5 DVD list by all!
Cheers,

I always run into this when we have people over to watch something like "The Great Outdoors" or "Jungle to Jungle".

Don't get me wrong, I love those movies, but somehow the lack of really good surround effects always leaves me with the feeling that our company has have not really gotten a chance to "experience" what we've been blabbing about.http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/frown.gif

That's when I play the opening scene of "Toy Story 2". It even has the neat THX logo startup sequence.http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Is the question to test the system or to show off the system? To test certainly AVIA or the VE disc.To show it off is different. This would depend on what you want to show or demo. Surround effects I feel you can't beat The Matrix from the lobby shoot out to the end of the film. Some of the best visuals can be seen in the first few minutes of Lost in Space( this film has the deepest blacks is very sharp with very very little EE). To show off your subs U 571 depth charges have to be right up there.

Some good porn. Both high and low frequencies and you gotta love the detail in the picture. It just jumps out of the screen at you, bringing forth all the benefits of dvd to all bystanders.

Owning a DVD player and a computer does not make you a film scholar.

Just because I don't care, doesn't mean I don't understand.
