Do I need PLII if I have DTS Neo6?

I have just purchased a DENON 5800 (AVC-A1SE) which does not yet have PLII but DTS Neo6. PLII will be available as an upgrade early next year.

My question is: Is there a big difference between PLII and DTS Neo6. The Upgrade for the DENON will probably be some $ and if DTS Neo6 is just as good I don't see the need to spend and money for PLII?

Roland,
Check out this thread that winds up discussing all the matrix formats. After reading that you'll probably want DPII.

Thank you John

I must have missed that thread in the search function!

Is is definitely different and, in my opinion, worth having. I have both formats right now and I only use DPLII when playing 2-channel sources.
